Privacy Policy
Last verified 2026-10-19
This policy matches the scripts this site actually loads. On 19 October 2026 the site runs Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and two Adsterra ad units (a native banner and a fixed social bar). All three stay off until you press Accept; before that the page requests nothing from those networks. The verified date at the top moves if that changes.
The site is operated from sellfries.net. The contact for privacy requests is [email protected]. We do not run a user account system.
| Name | When it loads | Purpose | Keys or cookies | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| First-party consent | Immediately, in the page | Remember Accept or Reject | localStorage sf_consent and sf_consent_at | 180 days, then we ask again |
| First-party ad-bar close | Only after you hide the ad bar | Keep the fixed ad bar hidden on later visits | localStorage sf_ads_bar_closed | Until you clear site data; no expiry date |
| YouTube (Google), privacy-enhanced | Only after you press Play video | Show the gameplay video you asked for | Requests to youtube-nocookie.com; playback may also contact youtube.com, googlevideo.com, ytimg.com and Google infrastructure. IP address and browser information are sent. | Google controls any playback cookies or storage; we do not set their retention. |
| Google Analytics 4 / gtag | Only after you press Accept | Visit statistics | Cookies _ga and _ga_8Z1133D9YC; requests to googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com | Up to 24 months in Google Analytics; cleared from your browser when you clear site data |
| Microsoft Clarity | Only after you press Accept | Session replay and heatmaps of how pages are used | Cookies _clck and _clsk; requests to clarity.ms and *.clarity.ms (including the collect endpoint) | Up to 30 days of recordings in Clarity, kept by Microsoft; cleared from your browser when you clear site data |
| Adsterra — Native Banner (unit 31808518) | Only after you press Accept | In-page advertisement below the article | Requests to bicea.org, the domain Adsterra serves this unit from. Adsterra sets its own cookies and browser storage to cap frequency and measure impressions; we set none of those keys ourselves. | Set and expired by Adsterra under its own policy; cleared from your browser when you clear site data |
| Adsterra — Social Bar (unit 31808519) | Only after you press Accept and until you hide it | Fixed advertisement bar at the bottom of the viewport | Requests to bicea.org. The same Adsterra cookies and storage apply; our own close flag is sf_ads_bar_closed. | Adsterra controls its own retention; our close flag lasts until you clear site data |
Consent preferences are stored solely to honor your choice. YouTube loads only because you clicked a video, separately from optional analytics and advertising consent. Microsoft Clarity, which records session replays and heatmaps, and the two Adsterra units are inserted only after you press Accept.
Legal basis: analytics and advertising scripts run on your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy rules for storing information on your device). Delivering the pages, keeping them secure and answering email rest on our legitimate interest in operating the site (Article 6(1)(f)). Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner, Reject removes the Adsterra units from the page and stops the analytics scripts on the next page load, and Hide ad bar removes the fixed bar and records that choice in localStorage.
Cloudflare is our DNS and email-routing provider and is the planned hosting provider. Hosting, when deployed, processes requests including IP address and browser headers for delivery and security. Email sent to [email protected] is routed by Cloudflare to our Google Gmail inbox; it includes your address and message. Neither provider injects an analytics script into this build.
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (navigator.globalPrivacyControl) or Do Not Track (navigator.doNotTrack set to 1), we treat that as Reject, hide the accept path for analytics and ads, and do not show the banner as a nudge to opt in.
You can reopen the choice any time from Cookie settings in the footer. Reject clears the granted state. You may email [email protected] to ask what we hold. Because we do not have accounts, that is usually the consent keys in your own browser, which you can delete yourself.
Rights we will honor on a real request: access, correction, deletion, and objection. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also complain to your supervisory authority. We do not sell personal information.
Personalized ads: the units are served by Adsterra, which may use your device data to choose and cap creatives. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s ad settings at https://adssettings.google.com/ , the industry page at https://optout.aboutads.info/ , NAI’s page at https://optout.networkadvertising.org/ , or Adsterra’s own privacy policy and opt-out instructions at https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/ . Rejecting the banner on this site stops the Adsterra scripts from loading here at all.
Changes to this policy are posted on this URL. The date in the verified line is the date the text last matched the code.
Questions
Do you use cookies before I choose?
The page does not set a tracking cookie. The choice itself is stored in localStorage only after you press Accept or Reject, or immediately as a denial if Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is on. No ad or analytics script is requested before that choice.
Can I remove the fixed ad bar?
Yes. Hide ad bar closes the Adsterra Social Bar, stores that choice in localStorage under sf_ads_bar_closed, and the bar is not requested again on later visits until you clear site data.
